What every number on the race cards, the leaderboard and the Upcoming tab means. Everything updates live as laps are timed.
Race cards
Each heat shows one row (or card, on a phone) per pilot.
Position
Where the pilot sits in the heat: most laps completed first, then whoever completed them soonest. While a heat is running the order updates as each lap is timed.
Channel
The video channel the pilot is flying on, with its colour.
HS (holeshot)
Time from the start until the pilot first crosses the timing line. It's the launch, not a full lap.
L1, L2, L3 …
Each full lap after the holeshot. In a race, laps flown past the target lap count (crossing the line again after finishing) aren't shown and don't count.
Total
Holeshot plus every lap — the pilot's elapsed race time so far.
Q12 (qualifying chip)
The pilot's place on the meeting's qualifying board, when the meeting has qualifying heats.
Gaps
Race heats show how far apart the pilots are:
Gap
Leader
Gap
+10.27
Gap
+10.45▲ +0.18
Big number — behind the leader
How many seconds behind 1st place the pilot is. The leader shows Leader.
▲ small number — behind the pilot directly ahead
How far behind the pilot one place in front they are. 2nd place doesn't show it, because the pilot ahead of 2nd is the leader.
How it's measured
Pilots are compared at the last lap both have completed. If the leader has done 2 laps and you've done 1, your gap is how far behind them you crossed the line at the end of lap 1 — so a pilot a lap down still gets a real time, not a meaningless difference of totals.
Only on races
Time-trial pilots start at staggered times, so their elapsed times can't be compared and no gaps are shown.
Lap colours
A highlighted lap is a standout time:
Overall best — the fastest lap of the whole meetingOverall PB — this pilot's fastest lap of the meetingRace best — the fastest lap in this heatRace PB — this pilot's fastest lap in this heat
Time trials (qualifying)
Best N
The pilot's fastest run of N laps in a row in this heat (for example Best 3 = their quickest three consecutive laps). This is what qualifying is ranked on.
PB
The pilot's best N-consecutive time across the whole meeting so far.
Split times
Tracks timed with split gates break each lap into sectors. Turn them on with the Splits switch.
Sector chips
The small times under each lap are its sectors. Red = the fastest anyone has gone through that sector this meeting; purple = this pilot's own fastest through it.
Dashed lap (L3 …)
The lap being flown right now, filling in sector by sector until the pilot crosses the line.
Ideal
The pilot's best time through each sector added together — the lap they'd fly if every sector were their best. The small number beside it is how much faster that is than their best real lap.
Leaderboard
The whole meeting, every pilot. It's ranked by Top N Consec, then by Top Lap for pilots without one.
Laps
Total laps completed across the meeting.
Hole shot
The pilot's fastest holeshot of the meeting.
Top Lap
Their fastest single lap of the meeting.
Top N Consec
Their fastest N laps in a row anywhere in the meeting.
Next Race
Racing now, Up next, or how many heats away their next heat is.
Live / Qualifying / Post-race
On meetings with qualifying: Live uses every lap; Qualifying uses the qualifying heats only; Post-race adds the racing laps back in and shows who moved — ▲/▼ places versus qualifying, and a green −time when a pilot beat their qualifying time.
Upcoming & favourites
Upcoming tab (phones)
Every heat still to run, in order. Next is the heat after the one on now; +3 means three heats from now.
Predicted heats
On a finals day the race director pastes one bracket round into the timing system at a time, so the heats the bracket has already decided from the results aren't queued yet. The Upcoming tab lists them anyway, after everything that is queued, marked Predicted with a ~ on their position (~2 races away) — the ~ means “if the director keeps the bracket's running order” (winners rounds then the redemption round they feed, by default; the director can change it). The leaderboard's Next column uses the same ~N. No channel is shown on a predicted heat — it is marked Channels not set yet. Pilots are kept on the channel they flew last round where possible, but that can still change, so the channel is confirmed only once the heat is in the timing system. Don't tune until it shows. A seat the results haven't decided yet reads to be decided. A pilot who isn't in the timing system yet shows unlinked; everyone else links to their page as usual.
☆ Favourites
Tap the star beside any pilot to follow them — it turns gold everywhere they appear. Then tap ★ Favourites to show only them on the leaderboard, and only their heats on the Upcoming tab. Favourites are saved on this device.
